They see and feel it is a regular key before they slowly close their hand around it... keeping it in full view the entire time. The magician does not touch the key again until after the effect is finished.

The spectator now chooses a random celebrity or superhero. They could just think of one or choose one from a stack of business cards, a list of famous addresses or even some Top Trump Cards.

Once the selection is made the spectator can now open their closed hand to reveal the key. It has visibly changed from a regular key to a 3D sculpt of the superhero they selected.

They key is now handed out for inspection and everything can be examined fully.
