The Story About Scrimshaw Sam and the Magic Bone
A Magical Tale By Rodger Lovins Magic
The year was 1815, and the oceans were still wide enough to hide a thousand secrets. On these vast, Caribbean Highways sailed Scrimshaw Sam, captain of "The Sea Serpent", a pirate known less for his plunder and more for his peculiar hobby.
Sam wasn't a man to keep a logbook; Instead, he carried a knife with smoothed, bleached whalebone handles. With a razor-sharp awl fashioned from a broken dagger, he etched the chronicles of his life. This art, known as scrimshaw, was his most prized possession.
Included you will receive a real bone handled pocket knife, complete with an engraved leather slip case. An instruction sheet for patter to tell the story, and a link to online instructions. The teardrop shape of the knife makes the "paddle move" easy to do and the size makes it easy to vanish and carry in your pocket.
The knife has a stainless steel blade, brass liners and pins and a nickel silver bolster. Made for us by The Rough Rider Knife Company!
